Sports Personality - Autumn 1

Well done to Christopher in Y4 who was awarded the Sports Personality trophy for this half term. Christopher has been chosen from every child in school for always trying in his PE lessons, for pushing himself throughout this half term and for having the aspiration to attend a competition this year! Well done Christopher we are super proud of you!

Sports Personality - Autumn 2

Well done to Igor in Year 5 who was chosen by Mr Bakes as the sports personality of the half term. Igor does not always find PE easy but this term in indoor athletics Mr Bakes has seen a massive improvement in his perseverance as well as focussing on coaching points and techniques trying to implement them into his performance as much as possible. Well done Igor, we are very proud of you!

Sports Personality - Spring 1

Well done to Cody in Year 6 who was chosen by Mr Osborne and Mr Bakes as the sports personality of the half term. Cody has always been enthusiastic in gymnastics and dance but has previously lacked enthusiasm in other areas of the curriculum. Since joining year 6 however, Cody has been exemplary in his PE lessons and in after school clubs. His effort hasn’t gone unnoticed and he is showing amazing leadership skills in after school club, taking time to invent his own warm ups for the class. We are very proud of you Cody, you’ll make a fab leader in the future!

Sports Personality - Spring Term 2

Well done to Fiona in Year 4 who has been chosen by Mr Osborne for this half term’s sports personality of the term award. Fiona has improved dramatically in her effort and behaviour towards PE and sport. This effort has been shining through especially in their recent lessons based around hockey skills. Fiona’s effort to concentrate more in lessons has impacted her learning and her behaviour has been exceptional this half term. Well done Fiona, we are hugely proud of you!

Sports Personality - Summer 1

Just before half term we held our annual healthy week. During this week, Miss Littlewood set the children the task of achieving personal challenges with healthy eating or fitness. Daisy from year 5 did just that! She took herself off home and set herself challenges from 100 star jumps a day to getting 8 hours sleep at night! Her dedication, commitment and independence really impressed us and this is why she has earned herself the sports personality of the half term award! We hope that even though it no longer healthy week, Daisy continues to set herself challenges and encourages others to make healthy choices. Well done Daisy.
