Yorkshire wildlife Park
Year 3 had an amazing time at Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week! We saw polar bears, Maras, tigers, lions, giant otters, antelopes, anteaters, lemurs and many more incredible animals. We spent time with one of the handlers who told us interesting facts about some of the animals, what habitats they live in, in the wild and how you can tell which are male and female. She also let us hold and touch a variety of items from camel fur that had been shed, a horn from an antelope that had snapped off and the skull of a polar bear! A giant snail, Madagascan cockroaches, and a leopard gecko were introduced to us. Some of the children stroked and held them. A very hectic day but fun was had by all.
