Advent Wreath Workshop

On Thursday 24th November, children and parents made the Advent wreaths, ready for them to be blessed by Father Andrew. We used greenery from our school grounds, and it was a great success. We have very talented and creative parents and children, and the results are amazing. Everybody had a great time.

The Blessing of the Advent Wreaths

On Sunday 27th, it is the first Sunday of Advent, a time of hope and expectation as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas.The Minnie Vinnies led our school’s Advent liturgy and Father Andrew offered prayers and blessed the wreaths. As a school, we also sang Father Andrew’s song – ‘Love Shone Down’, complete with actions. Each class took a wreath to their prayer focus table in the classrooms, where each candle will be lit during prayer time.
