Crich

To enable all Y6 children the opportunity to experience a retreat

Lincoln Castle

To see what life was like living in a castle – their topic was Castles in KS1.

Vikings and Tudors workshops

KS2 had the chance to learn about and touch artefacts form this time period, provided and delivered by a local history expert.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Year 3 and 4 visited here to tie in with their study on animals and their habitats

Far Ings Nature Reserve

This was offered as a free trip from Far Ings. It tied in nicely with KS1 topic on minibeasts

Year 6 spent a long weekend here in June as part of their post-SATs activities

Trip to the West End in London to see ‘Annie’

Broadway club were putting on a production of Annie – so we thought it would give an extra understanding if they went to see a real performance of it

Trip to ASDA

Year 3 and 4 were learning about where food comes from and exports and imports as part of their Geography.

Sikh temple

As part of Other Faiths Week, KS1 were studying Sikhism – there is a Gurdwara close to school and contact was made to facilitate a visit

York Castle

Year 5 and 6 trip to link in with topic on Romans

Year 3 and 4 trip to tie in with Tudor topic
