📚 BOOK FAIR! 📚
The book fair will be open from 3:30pm. We are aiming to earn £400 to earn rewards for new books.
We will be running the raffle to win one of five £5 vouchers, drawn on Friday. For each book you purchase, you will earn a raffle ticket into the draw.

It was a pleasure for St Mary’s to have a visit from Melanie Onn and Will Brown into school this week.
Melanie is a our local politician for Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes since 2024.
Mr O’Connor showed both Melanie and Will around the whole school and chatted to the children. This was the start of Parliament Easter recess were the House is not in session, allowing members are parliament to break from there duties.
Walking to School Challenge.
As a school we are proud to be supporting WOW – The Walk To School Challenge.
WOW Travel tracker
The WOW Travel Tracker is a digital system that allows pupils to log their daily journeys to school and earn badges for walking, cycling, scooting or wheeling at least once per week.
Overview
The WOW Travel Tracker is part of the Living Streets Walk to School initiative, designed to
encourage children and families to travel actively to school. Pupils can record their journeys
on classroom interactive whiteboards, PCs or iPads, and the system tracks all modes of travel,
including walking, cycling and scooting. The tracker uses icons to represent pupils, with
optional name tags for classrooms that prefer them.
Rewards and Motivation
Pupils who travel actively at least once per week for a month earn a WOW badge with 11
badges available each school year. These badges are designed by pupils and serve as a
motivational tool to encourage consistent participation.
Thank you to our parents and carers for either donating, bringing in sweet treats or buying
our cakes and biscuits at our cake sale. This charity means a lot to us at St Mary’s, and we are thankful for all your continued support. Overall, a fantastic amount of £234.45 was raised.

We are so pleased to announce that we reached our goal of £400 sales at the book fair! Our grand total is…. £403.98! This means we will receive £160 back in rewards to keep our classroom and school libraries updated! Thank you so much to everyone who came and bought something, we are so grateful!

We are pleased to share with you all the amazing results from our Great Athletes event last term. You raised a fantastic total of £1,837.75. Taking part in this inspirational event, we agreed to share the total with Great Athletes for them to deliver such a fun filled afternoon for the children and to meet such an inspiring Olympic champion. This means we have £904.14 to spend on new school sports equipment. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the parents and carers for helping your child/children to raise this impressive amount of money and to all the children for doing so well in the circuit with Sean Gaffney. It was a great afternoon and just proved how fantastic our children are at raising money for the school and organisations like Great Athletes.
