The Jubilee Year 2025
Our Jubilee Display
As we journey through the Jubilee Year 2025, our school community is embracing this special time of renewal, reflection and celebration by working together as a community to bring HOPE to others. Guided by God and His word, we will be engaging in meaningful prayer, pledges and outreach that inspire us to live out the spirit of Jubilee in our daily lives.
We are so excited to share this special journey with you and hope that you can join us in our special mission.
Preparing for the Jubilee Year 2025 – September 2024
In preparation for the 2025 Jubilee Year ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, 2024 has been designated a Year of Prayer by Pope Francis, with a particular focus on the Our Father.
‘Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when He finished, one of his disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray…”’ Luke 11:1
Someone once said that ‘prayer doesn’t help our relationship with God, prayer IS our relationship with God!’ and so when we become more devoted to prayer, we are building up that Divine friendship. Being Pilgrims of Hope means that we should always be growing in our love of prayer on our journey of Faith.
“I would greatly desire that we devote 2024, the year preceding the Jubilee event, to a great ‘symphony’ of prayer.’” Pope Francis
As part of the Year of Prayer, we thought deeply about our own prayer life. What we pray, how we pray and why we pray.
Each class focussed on a part of the Lord’s prayer and looked deeply into its meaning. We produced a piece of work to demonstrate its meaning which forms a display in our KS1 corridor. (This has now been replaced with our new Jubilee Display)
