Can we beat last year’s total of £600?!!

Well done to our year 5 and 6 children that took part in a develop basketball event hosted by NELSSP with the help of Phoenix Basketball club. Children gave it their all and definitely displayed great teamwork and sportsmanship. Thank you to the teachers for attending and the children’s parents / carers for supporting.

Some of our year 3 and 4 children took part in the Welholme Trophy football event. We may not have placed and we played against some great well-established teams, but they certainly had fun. Well done to all of you, you did St Mary’s proud

What a great way for children to start the day with Bailey at Begreatfitness.

Please book on via ParentPay

Some of our Year 2 children attended the Quad Kids Athletic Event at King George Stadium on 6th July. The competition included run, jump and throwing. They had a great time and represented our school very well. Thank you too Mrs Solomou, Mrs Szlapanska and Mrs Ballard for taking the children to the event.

QuadKids has been a major part of the school’s athletics in Primary & Secondary schools across the country for the last 15 years. Hundreds of thousands of children have competed either in intra-school / inter-school competitions or much larger events at the School Games.

A group of children attended the Panathlon Ten Pin bowling event on Friday 16th June at Cleethorpes bowling alley. They had a fantastic time and learnt new skills. They all came away with medals. Well done everyone.

Thank you Miss Cullum and Miss Magalhaes for taken and supporting the children.

What a week for some of our Year 6 children!

The Briars Retreat welcomed and looked after us beyond expectations! From 8am to 9:30pm, our days were filled with activities and group sessions. The dining room would be filled with chatter as we shared our thoughts for the day, while spoilt for choice on the selection of foods available- kiwi fruits seemed to be a popular choice! We would start our day with the morning prayer and end it with our night prayer-acknowledging the ‘Our Father’ in sign language! They improved with the room inspections, with room 5 being a clear winner with 38 points! Thank you to all of the team at Briars!

Also a very huge congratulation to the year 6 children for their outstanding engagement and behaviour throughout the trip and not forgetting a big Thank you to Mrs Ballard, Miss Magalhaes and Mrs Szlapanska for taking the children.

Scholastic Book Fair 2022

We held a Scholastic Book Fair in school and over £600 was raised.

Thank you so much the support – it was great to see some children return every day to buy a book. You can never have too many books!

This means that school will receive £300 in free books. The School Council will help to choose the books, which will go into the school library.
